ﺃﻛﺪ ﺑﺎﺣﺜﻮﻥ ﻣﻦ ﺟﺎﻣﻌﺔ ﺇﻟﻴﻨﻮﻱ ﺍﻷﻣﺮﻳﻜﻴﺔ ﺃﻥ ﺗﻨﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﺠﻮﺯ ﻳﺤﺴﻦ ﺗﺮﻛﻴﺐ ﻧﺒﻴﺖ ﺍﻷﻣﻌﺎﺀ “ ﻣﻴﻜﺮﻭﺑﺎﺕ ﺍﻷﻣﻌﺎﺀ ” ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺒﻜﺘﻴﺮﻳﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﻔﻴﺪﺓ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺴﺎﻋﺪ ﻓﻲ ﺗﺨﻔﻴﺾ ﺧﻄﺮ ﺍﻹﺻﺎﺑﺔ ﺑﺴﺮﻃﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﻘﻮﻟﻮﻥ ﻭﺍﻟﻤﺴﺘﻘﻴﻢ .
ﻭﻗﺴﻢ ﺍﻟﺒﺎﺣﺜﻮﻥ 18 ﺭﺟﻼ ﻭﺍﻣﺮﺃﺓ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻤﺘﻄﻮﻋﻴﻦ ﺇﻟﻰ ﻣﺠﻤﻮﻋﺘﻴﻦ ﺗﻨﺎﻭﻟﺖ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻰ ﻳﻮﻣﻴﺎ 42 ﻏﺮﺍﻣﺎ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﻮﺯ ﺧﻼﻝ ﺛﻼﺛﺔ ﺃﺳﺎﺑﻴﻊ ﺃﻣﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﻤﻮﻋﺔ ﺍﻟﺜﺎﻧﻴﺔ ﻓﺎﺳﺘﻤﺮﺕ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻨﺎﻭﻝ ﻭﺟﺒﺎﺗﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻐﺬﺍﺋﻴﺔ ﺍﻻﻋﺘﻴﺎﺩﻳﺔ ﻭﺍﺗﻀﺢ ﻓﻲ ﻧﻬﺎﻳﺔ ﺍﻟﻔﺘﺮﺓ ﺍﺯﺩﻳﺎﺩ ﺃﻋﺪﺍﺩ ﺍﻟﺒﻜﺘﻴﺮﻳﺎ ﺍﻟﻼﺯﻣﺔ ﻟﺼﺤﺔ ﺍﻷﻣﻌﺎﺀ ﻟﺪﻯ ﺃﻓﺮﺍﺩ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﻤﻮﻋﺔ ﺍﻷﻭﻟﻰ .
ﻭﻗﺎﻟﺖ ﺣﻨﺎ ﻫﻮﻟﺸﺮ ﺍﻟﺒﺎﺣﺜﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﺸﺮﻓﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺪﺭﺍﺳﺔ : “ ﺍﻛﺘﺸﻔﻨﺎ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻟﺠﻮﺯ ﻳﻔﺮﺯ ﻣﻮﺍﺩ ﻣﻔﻴﺪﺓ ﻷﺟﺴﺎﻣﻨﺎ ﻣﺜﻞ ﺍﻟﺤﻤﺾ ﺍﻟﺰﻳﺘﻲ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻳﺴﺎﻋﺪ ﻓﻲ ﻫﻀﻢ ﺍﻟﻐﺬﺍﺀ ﻛﻤﺎ ﻳﺤﺘﻮﻱ ﺍﻟﺠﻮﺯ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺃﻟﻴﺎﻑ ﻏﺬﺍﺋﻴﺔ ﺗﺸﻜﻞ ﺍﻟﻐﺬﺍﺀ ﺍﻟﺼﺤﻲ ﺍﻟﻼﺯﻡ ﻟﻸﺣﻴﺎﺀ ﺍﻟﻤﺠﻬﺮﻳﺔ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻷﻣﻌﺎﺀ ﻭﻳﺴﺎﻋﺪ ﻓﻲ ﺗﻨﺸﻴﻂ ﺍﻟﺒﻜﺘﺮﻳﺎ ﺍﻟﻤﻔﻴﺪﺓ .”
ﻭﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺍﻟﺪﺭﺍﺳﺎﺕ ﺍﻟﻌﻠﻤﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﺴﺎﺑﻘﺔ ﺃﻛﺪﺕ ﺃﻥ ﺍﻷﺣﻤﺎﺽ ﺍﻟﺰﻳﺘﻴﺔ ﻣﺼﺪﺭ ﺍﻟﻄﺎﻗﺔ ﺍﻟﺮﺋﻴﺲ ﻟﺨﻼﻳﺎ ﺍﻷﻣﻌﺎﺀ ﻭﻫﺬﺍ ﻋﺎﻣﻞ ﻣﻬﻢ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺤﻔﺎﻅ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺼﺤﺔ ﻷﻧﻪ ﻳﻌﺰﺯ ﺍﻟﻨﺴﻴﺞ ﺍﻟﻄﻼﺋﻲ “ ﺍﻟﻈﻬﺎﺭﺓ ” ﻭﺍﻟﻤﻨﺎﻋﺔ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺿﻌﻴﺔ ﻛﻤﺎ ﺃﻥ ﻧﻘﺺ ﻫﺬﺍ ﺍﻟﺤﻤﺾ ﻟﻪ ﻋﻼﻗﺔ ﺑﻤﺮﺽ ﺍﻟﺴﻜﺮﻱ ﻭﺍﻟﺒﺪﺍﻧﺔ ﻭﺃﻣﺮﺍﺽ ﺍﻟﻘﻠﺐ ﻭﺍﻷﻭﻋﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﺪﻣﻮﻳﺔ .
